Service Description

This service connects you to a family law lawyer who can help plan living arrangements for your children and other aspects of their care and development.

While this service is suitable for the vast majority of people, more complex legal situations may require additional work. In such cases, your family law solicitor will explain any additional work that needs to be done as well as the cost. This will occur prior to your solicitor performing any additional work.

How it works

1. Complete our comprehensive questionnaire.
2. Get advice within one business day.
3. Your lawyer begins negotiating on your behalf.
4. If negotiations are successful, then your lawyer will prepare all necessary settlement documents.
5. If negotiations are unsuccessful, your lawyer will file an application for parenting orders in the relevant court on your behalf. You may continue negotiating with the opposing party once your application has been filed.

What is included

1. A 30-minute phone call whereby your lawyer provides legal advice based on your completed questionnaire.
2. Two rounds of negotiations.
3. All court documents required to achieve a legally binding settlement, if the negotiations are successful.
4. All court documents necessary to file a parenting application, if negotiations are unsuccessful.
5. Filing all forms in the relevant court.

What is not included

1. Additional negotiations.
2. Interim issues (e.g., interim parenting orders)
3. Court appearances.
4. Court filing fees.
5. Confirming that the information you provided in completing our questionnaire is accurate.
6. Any additional work that your parenting matter requires (e.g., perusing and considering documents sent by the other party).
