Chris Ambas is the CEO of Legal Shield Family Law, a company striving to achieve his radical vision of transforming the way family law is practiced in Australia.
Prior to founding Legal Shield, Chris worked a solicitor specialising in family law. His career enabled him to develop a wealth of knowledge in all areas of family law, including parenting, divorce, pre/post nuptial agreements, complex financial disputes, jurisdictional issues and commercial surrogacy. In 2015, he appeared as legal counsel for the applicants in Bernieres and Anor & Dhopal and Anor [2015] FamCA 736, the leading decision on the issue of whether a declaration of parentage is available in relation to children born as a result of an overseas commercial surrogacy arrangement.
Apart from overseeing Legal Shield, Chris is an avid martial artist. For the past 12 years, he has practiced and competed in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission wrestling. Additionally, Chris has a strong interest in burgeoning field of law, logic and artificial intelligence.
